Committees, Staff and Recipients

    Co-ordinates and ensures linkages with all working groups; produces a program plan and working plan for executive approval and oversees PWC field delivery of eligible activities.
    Raise and provide advice on issues relating to the planning, implementation, performance, policy setting and communications of the FFT program to Strategic Planning working group.
    Provides a National and Provincial context to the FFT program; provides strategic budget alignment; and receives direction from and advises senior management which is communicated to Operational Planning working group.
    Strategic guidance and co-ordination for inventory update on 2003/2004 fire areas, small scale salvage and MPB impacted units; and the purchase of satellite, photograph and other imagery for program use and co-ordination with other licensee and government needs.
    Develop a long-term FFT seed needs analysis; and consider policy/guidance options for collecting, redistributing, and purchasing seed.
    Develop a framework and strategy for adaptive management / continuous improvement to manage wildfire and MPB reforestation activities.

    Communications Committee

    Develops the tools and processes that will be used for effective communications and information sharing with external stakeholders and within the Forests for Tomorrow Program.

    Silviculture Strategies Working Group

    Determines which Management units will have updated Silviculture Strategies and oversees the tools and processes that will be used to for developing silviculture Strategies.

    Recipients

    Silviculture firms and licensees that are under contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers and are responsible for delivery of Forest for Tomorrow funded silviculture reforestation work in areas damaged by the wildfires and the mountain pine bark beetle. The right to enter into a recipient agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers was granted after the firm was the successful proponent in a Request for proposal competition.
